Representative George Santos: Indictment and Prosecution (Expelled from Congress on Dec 1, 2023)

How long until he pretends to be the warden and orders his own release?

I realize I started this particular line of jokes but on a serious note you do realize that a warden has no more authority to release a prisoner than a guard does? I point this out because I’ve often seen comments by people who seem to feel that prison authorities have some control over who’s in prison. We don’t; all decisions about who goes into prison and who comes out of prison are made by people outside of prisons.

The release orders will be coming from the attorneys general office signed by Ron Vero, Anthony Zabrovsky* and Anthony Devolder*. Perfectly legitimate.

*Two, of a longer list, of his aliases.

His X account has posted that something will happen in 90 days. People are mentioning appeal.

I mean, he must be kinda charming if he stole so much money, but I don’t see it.

Eminently sensible; when in doubt, you should always defer to Sergeant Santos.

Yes, I know. It was a joke.

I mean, a warden can release any prisoner they want - just not legally.

Has it been 90 days yet? He’s asking for a pardon from the Great Blumpkin. Changed his mind, I guess.

His letter to Trump was returned marked, INSUFFICIENT FUNDS

The day has come

This guy is a worthless idiot and the smallest of fries in the grand scheme of things, but boy is it nice for one of these assholes to face some fucking consequences for their actions, for once.

Generally I would believe you. But I saw a documentary called Idiocracy recently and given its continually increasing degree of predictive accuracy, while you may be correct about the past I’m not sure about the present, let alone the future.

You think Santos introduced himself as the new warden on his first day?

Well, something did indeed happen in 90 days. He actually told the truth for once.

Must have been an accident.

I can see him trying to convince the guards that he’s actually an undercover prison inspector, and so he’s only in there to see how conditions are, and once his report is complete he needs to leave to report back to the Bureau of Prisons.

Frankly, although he’s a total douchebag scoundrel, I’d love to see him pull that off.

I vaguely remember reading a story with a similar plot. A cop was sent undercover to prison to uncover guard corruption then the governor who’d sent him died and there was no paper-work. He was not happy.

Far less complicated scams have worked recently:

Authorities said he escaped by donning an outfit designed to look like a law enforcement uniform. Magness said the outfit was crafted from an inmate uniform and a kitchen apron dyed black using a marker – while a soup can lid and a Bible cover were fashioned to look like a badge.

He’s lucky it wasn’t raining or the bar of soap he carved into a gun would have melted.
