So, I recently bought a Canon Rebel XTi, overall, I love this camera, although the battery life is a lot shorter than I’m used to (having just come from film cameras). The one thing that bugs me is that when I have the camera in manual mode, I have to hit the AV± button and turn the jogwheel to adjust the aperture, when I’m used to pushing one of the buttons directly behind the strap lug on the right side of the camera like I did on my old Rebel SII (in this case, the button in question now adjusts the autofocus points).
Is there some way to reprogram the buttons so that the focus point button will instead let me adjust the aperture, so I don’t have to entirely retrain my thumb for operating the camera in manual mode?
