Republican Debate in NH-1/7

 Then who is an Islamist terror group, if not al-Qaeda?

I noted in the post itself. I meant Islamism in the sense of advocating some sort of an Islamic theocracy not in Islam the religion in general. The only difference with such theocratic ideology and Nazism is in its extent and influence.

So if some Imam in Afghanistan starts preaching that there should be a theocracy, what should we do? I don’t think the American public is going to support putting people up against the wall for political speech, even if we disagree with the speech in question.

And the current gov’t of Afghanistan, which was more or less put in place by the US is an Islamic Republic. So if our goal is to prevent such things, I think we’re not doing a very good job.

 What is Pakistan or China gonna do if we pull them out? Invade Afghanistan?! Doubtful.

I mean significant Islamism-not just some random preacher. And I was thinking of fanatical Islamists such as the one in Iran or the Taliban.
