Why is he propping up Palin now? Isn’t it supposed to be the other way around? Have I forgotten Barack’s speech – did he gush on and on about Joe Biden? Nope. Just checked the transcript – he thanked Biden at the beginning, then never mentioned his name again. This is just weird.
He can’t wait to introduce her to Wa®shington, but he sure won’t introduce her to the press so we can get to know her better! What are her policy positions? What does she plan to do while in office? How is she going to compliment your administration?

As cosmodan hinted at, most people who have been paying relative attention to the election know roughly who Joe Biden is and have at least a vague sense of what he’s about and what he stands for. As both Democrats and Republicans have pointed out as either a negative or a positive, almost no one had any idea who Sarah Palin is and what she stands for. The big ratings for the Palin speech is because everyone, Democrat, Republican and independent alike, wanted to find out more about her than just the fact that she has five kids, her oldest is pregnant, and she apparently has a bear-skin couch.

There was something funky about the atmosphere there. I think the audience was looking for something meaner and bloodier. That audience was eager to cheer, but they seemed occasionally at odds to the timing of the speech.
