Republican voter registration scandal going national?

Not certain this is a major issue or not.

Voter registration scandal widens
A Virginia official is busted for tossing voter forms. Turns out he works for the national party, too

I was going to pick out a few interesting paragraphs, but the linked report isn’t very well organized and is confusing (at least to me) to read.

The gist is that the guy arrested last Month in Florida worked for a company that has a long history of fraudulent GOP registrations (and destruction of Democratic ones). It turns out that the GOP continued using the company, but under different names.

Now they’ve been caught again, this time in Virginia.

Apparently the “old” company and the “new” company shared a number of things like offices and Craig’s List ads.

Virginia does not register voters by party. I have no idea what this guy was doing – maybe tossing forms from people he thought looked Democratic.

It’s possible, although US News and World Report suggests that his motivations weren’t political.
