Whoda thunk it? Here’s a news article in which three conservatives do the right thing. After all the well-earned pitting we’ve been giving Republicans over in the Pit lo! these last several years, we should give credit where credit is due.
At least some conservatives take privacy rights seriously and defend them.

It seems the FISA court, which usually only hears from government lawyers, has solicited outside briefs on the subject of continuing the mass collection of phone records. Conspicuously objecting to continuing this practice are Ken Cuccinelli, Rand Paul, and Larry Klayman. (Also, Rep. James Sensenbrenner, one of the original authors of the Patriot Act, says that Congress never intended Section 215 to be used in this way.)
