I am a long-time fan of Monty Python. I have all the Flying Circus on DVD and watch them ofen. I have all three movies and many of the troup’s side projects, but I must confess there is one reference that I am just NOT getting. I have googled it, and I guess I am not spelling it correctly because I can’t find anything. I even asked a British friend, and even he didn’t know. This distresses me because getting Monty Python always makes me feel so damn smart and smug…so, I am throwing myself on the mercy of the Dope. Who the heck is this Reginald Mordling, or Mordlen, (?) they always refer to? I’ll feel inept until I know.

Yes – that’s Reginal Maudling.
And these are Reginald Maudling’s naughty bits.
Oh Thank you, thank you for aiding me in my continuing quest to be smart and smug!
So, it’s “Maudling”. No wonder I couldn’t find it.
Reginald Maudling’s wife would never have to do this…
