Reserving a seat year-round at Burger King

Is it possible to do the above? Anyone know how this could be arranged with BK?

I’m not clear how this would work, but why don’t you ask the manager at your local BK?

Just based on my experience with franchise agreements: no.

I dunno. Are you trying to impress some clients or something?

Who do you think you are, Frank Sinatra?

Don Rickles: Go away, Frank. Can’t you see I’m eating?

Now I am picturing you asking the creepy King this question. His response is a glassy-eyed stare, then he silently pats his lap and beckons to you.

Reserve how? No one sets there but me? Ever!

Or, I want you to keep that seat available MWF at 6:00 pm?

I wouldn’t hold my breath expecting your average fast food worker to fulfill this request. Their employees rotate too many shifts. Even the manager you talked too may be working a different schedule a week from now.

Fancy restaurants have computerized reservation systems.

What if you buy your own franchise? Can you set a seat aside for yourself? Or does Burger King have rules that prohibit its franchise owners from doing that?

Slip the assistant manager a $20.

If you’re gonna eat burger king, you’d better reserve a throne

I think Al Gore would rather eat at Arbys.

If they can — fairly — estimate how much income they would notionally get from a year of that table, and you contract to eat as much as 75% of that, it could be well worth their while to provide you with exclusive use.

You could set up a quarterly direct debit in advance to their accounts dept., and become a familiar privileged guest in that establishment.

I have to ask: why the need to reserve? Granted, my experiences all happened in Europe, but I’ve never been to a Burger King, or McDonald’s or any other big franchise restaurant where I couldn’t easily get a seat anytime .

Status. Nothing says Successful like a reserved seat at Burger King.

Hey, if you’re doing things right, they’ll reserve the table without you having to ask.

Don’t know about franchise restaurants, but you can definitely do it at owner-operated businesses. My father (and 3 other co-workers) had a reserved table at a nearby BBQ for over 20 years. There was a sign explaining the table was reserved Friday’s at noon for the weekly POETS* club luncheon. The owner would actually enforce this.
*Piss On Everyone, Tomorrow’s Saturday.

I don’t get the need to reserve a year-round seat, but I’ve been to plenty of fast-food restaurants where I would have had to wait if I wanted a seat. It all depends on the time and location.

Or, stated another way:
If you’re gonna eat burger king, you will need THE throne.

I never understood why people ask questions here rather than asking the person who would know the answer. The manager or owner-operator of the local Burger King franchise in this case. Or the bank in the case of the person who was holding a cashier’s check that was six months past the expiration date.
