I don’t think this signifies lack of capability, but lack of equal opportunity.

As Lamia suggests, there seem to be two arguments going on in this thread: whether women, GLOBALLY, suffer more than men (arguable), or whether women, GLOBALLY, have less power, freedom and/or opportunity. I think the second is true by any measure.

I’m not sure why you would think that. Certainly most women in the United States are free to purchase and use snowblowers, lawnmowers, and whatever other power tools they care to.
