I see my previous post was ninja’d by ZonexandScout’s. But the edit feature seems to have disappeared.
What do people think of Mircea Eliade? Was he an atheist, and did he write any books for kids (his books I am familiar with are full of information but I would not give them to a teen-ager, who would surely find them boring).
And, just wanted to add, that each of these positions have a lot of adherents. It isn’t just a small sect that does adult baptism for instance (it may not surprise you to know that the Baptists are in favor of adult baptism - and basically started the modern practice, hence their name). And, of course, infant baptism vs. adult baptism have very different theological underpinnings.
I don’t know of any Christian denomination that does not have baptism. I guess it’s possible - if the original Protestants could drop 7 sacraments to 2 (Baptism and Eucharist), another denomination could drop them to 0, I guess. But Baptism is a pretty good entrance rite.
