Restaurant Alfred(?) Florence

Ok, I had this in Cafe Society but no responses. As it more or less asks for a factual answer, I think it will be OK to post it here

Someone just recommended a restaurant in Florence. It is behind town hall, on the via del leonia, and I thought it was called Alfred, but I can’t seem to find it on google. Did I get the name right, and it is just really small, or did I get the name wrong. The person spoke really fast, and I was having trouble understanding.

Perhaps it’s Trattoria Alfredo Via dei Leoni 14 rather than Alfred. This is the only hit I could find that made sense. And, BTW, I had to use via dei Leoni rather than del. Scroll down almost to the end of the page.

If you haven’t already seen Sally’s Place, a website put up by a woman who runs a cooking school in Florence, you might enjoy.

BTW, they’re closed on Saturday.

I have no doubt in my mind that that is correct. He is American, but has spent the last thirty years in Italy. He actually speaks with a slight Italian accent, and as he was giving me names he would translate the names. Thank you very much. It seems to be his favorite place. He even said to say that he sent us.
