Restaurant Reccomendation in New York

One day…one day…I will confirm that. I have enjoyed authentic Sicilian cuisine, cooked by authentic Sicilians, so I have a basis for comparison.

Is UMBERO’S CLAM HOUSE (little Italy) still in business? i recall this was a place for excellent seafood (spaghetti alle vongele). the bonus is the bullet holes on the wall-some mafia hood was gunned down there in the mid-1970’s. Food is good, and man what atmosphere!

I would reccomend you NOT go to Patsy’s , I just ate there in January. It’s very expensive and while I don’t mind a $100-200 meal once a year the food was not worth the price. Go figure.

A little more than you might be willing to spend but Gallaghers Steak House is amazing. Home of the New York strip steak.
