Reuseable cold compress - is there any risk of tissue damage?

They are kept in the freezer. Great for sore backs, and other aches.

They are also very helpful on hemorrhoids. Any danger of frostbite in a delicate area?

The cold pack says 15 to 20 minutes max on an area. By then everything is numb but I sure don’t want frostbite.

Yes they can cause frostbite, especially to mucous membrane tissue like lips and your starfish.

Do not put them directly on the body surface. Use a cloth between.

And be mindful of that 15-20 minutes, even if you wrap it in a towel or whatever. I frostbit my back a few months ago with one of those things, and the skin still isn’t quite back to normal.

Ok. I’ll be sure to use a towel.

I knew ice cubes and packs of frozen vegetables were a bad idea, This compress has a thin fabric like covering but using a towel makes sense.
