Like I’ve said elsewhere, the only people this concerns are Rex, his wife and perhaps those close enough to smell his breath.
If this is ALL there is to the story, I figure there’s absolutely noting wrong with a married man get a little kinky with his wife, and the media should let the whole thing die (though Patriot and Dolphins fans are more than welcome to make all the jokes and cleverly obscene banners they want).
Unfortunately, I have a bad feeling this ISN’T all there is to the story. If the Ryans were indiscreet enough to let THIS video become widespread, I can’t help thinking there are far more embarrassing revelations to come.

Based on this stuff alone? No way. He’s broken no laws and harmed nobody, and his team is winning (despite the tripping thing and their putrid offense). The Jets are usually an afterthought, and right now they are not. They’re not going to fire their coach for being a toe sucker or a swinger or whatever.
True. The issue is joke fodder, not scandal.
A franchise with dignity probably would fire him for it, though, like the Giants or Steelers. But the Jets? Please. They probably love the extra attention.

I repeat, there’s no story here IF this is all there is to it. IF there’s nothing more going on here than a married man having a little fun with his wife, the story will blow over in a few weeks, except as an occasional joke.
I’m not at all convinced that’s all there is to the story. I have no inside info, obviously, but if it turns out that the Scrivener is right (and that the Ryans are into swinging, swapping, etc.), Ryan could very well be finished.

He should be fired because of his and his wife’s sex life? Seriously? It’s not as if he’s the Attorney General of NY and is breaking both laws and marital vows by visiting high price call girls on the sly, he’s a football coach getting it on with his spouse.
I think if his team continues to win and he’s not breaking any laws or lying to anybody, it’s very unlikely he will be fired. The Jets’ history is not so littered with success and outstandanding coaches that the team is going to rush to fire a head coach who, gasp, might be into three-ways. It’d be particularly hypocritical to do so after bringing in players like Santonio Holmes and Antonio ‘I have nine kids and don’t pay child support’ Cromartie.
I personally agree, and as I already said I don’t think the Jets care one way or another. The Giants would probably drop him like a bad habit on moral grounds. Surely every head coach in the league has some kind of moral turpitude clause in their contract. I just don’t think the Jets would fire a winning coach because of it.
So, victory over the feet then?

You might be right. I trust your knowledge of your own team. On the other hand, you mentioned the Steelers in your previous post. I like the Steelers, but come on: their quarterback probably raped a girl this past March. I know he was not charged and the situation is murky (and I sure as hell don’t want to re-argue the whole thing), but the whole reason the Jets got Holmes is that he was the first Steeler to stick his toe over the line after the whole Roethlisberger thing. The team decided their QB was not expendable but Holmes was. So much for dignity. On the other hand if the head coach of the Bills got caught in a situation like Ryan’s, most people would probably say "are they still in the NFL?
I dunno, you make an excellent point. While the QB is the face of the franchise, the head coach is something more. But you could be right, and by extension you could be right about the Giants as well. The two franchises are very similar.
What did he do that was immoral? He likes his wife’s feet. So what? It’s actualy kind of sweet, if you ask me.
