Didn’t RFK Jr. And Trump talk about him getting a job in the next Trump White House?
Joe Rogan would endorse the Pillsbury Doughboy if he thought it would cause his ratings to rise.
I saw that show, and though nobody should need to be convinced that RFK Jr is a whackadoodle, I didn’t fully appreciate the extent of his lunacy. On talk shows and other public appearances, he adjusts his statements according to his perception of his audience. On mainstream shows, for instance, he’s likely to say things like he’s not against COVID vaccines, he just thinks it would be prudent to have more thorough testing and better scientific evidence for their safety. Away from the mainstream spotlight, though, like when speaking to like-minded lunatics, he’ll say what he really thinks: he’s flat-out against all vaccines, period. He’s not only a complete nutter, he’s also a shameless hypocrite. Or, IOW, an ideal candidate for a cabinet position with Trump, ideally Secretary of Health & Human Services.
100% that. He’s fuckin’ nuts!
I’m just hopeful that his brand of fuckin’ nuts pulls from the Trump side.
Earlier today I was reading an article saying that this is just what’s happening, but I can’t find the article now. Anyway, the gist of it was that earlier this year Steve Bannon endorsed RFK Jr because he appeared to be pulling more votes away from Biden than from Trump. After Biden dropped out, the political landscape changed drastically, and Bannon’s strategy backfired as now it’s Trump that’s losing votes bigly to RFK Jr.
Love it when the minor fuckin’ nuts steal from the major fuckin’ nuts and leave the common sense non-nuts alone.
The problem of course being if (when) RFK runs out of resources and decides to drop out, he encourages his supporters to support Trump.
So after Trump unleashed MAGA on him, Joe has walked back his statements. I know I’d want to say nice things about someone whose supporters threatened me. /s
Joe Rogan broke MAGA world’s heart with his RFK Jr. support (msnbc.com)
RFK’s campaign is fading fast. He hasn’t had a public event since July 9th and he has less than 10 million dollars in funds.
But he has the roadkill vote in the bag.
It does look as though he won’t be actively campaigning much—but the fact that his name will remain on the ballots of too many states means that he’s still a factor in this race. All those low-information voters who always vote for the names they recognize, are definitely going to recognize “Kennedy.”
So he’s still a menace to democracy.
What’s predictable is that Junior will use whatever resources he has left (monetary or otherwise) to damage Democrats in an effort to assure that Trump wins.
He’s not just a loon; he’s a vengeful loon.
And yet he has been peeling away those who might otherwise support Trump.
I expect at this stage of the race, he’s hurting Trump more than Harris. Polls seem to agree with that.
As I see it, the voters from the main parties that are for RFKJ are either 1) never-Trump Republicans who can’t bring themselves to vote for a Democrat and 2) Democrats who don’t want the same choice of two old men that we had four years ago. Harris gives the latter group someone new to vote for, so they’ve moved over to her side. The first group is staying with Kennedy.
By the way, Trump knows that RFK Jr is hurting him. That’s why last month he asked him to drop out.
He didn’t do so. Regardless of Bannon’s involvement in getting this whole thing started, I don’t think Junior is in it just to help Trump, or if that’s his goal at all.
He surely cannot be helped by how many potential voters are aware of what a massive bag of turds is John Kennedy.
Who??
US Senator from Louisiana. You wouldn’t know him.
New York Justice Christina Ryba, a judge in Albany, ruled that Kennedy falsely claimed on his nominating petition that his “place of residence” is an address in Katonah, N.Y., outside of New York City, where he rents a spare bedroom rather than his home in California, which he purchased in 2021 after marrying actress Cheryl Hines in 2014.
