I would be happy if either you or any other member of the administration would just make a clear ruling on which of the following two policies is correct. You have not made any statement on the actual question at hand, and Rico’s response in post #18 just served to muddy the waters.

I think it is reasonable to request a clear ruling on this issue. It is of particular concern to me because as a biologist this is the kind of question I may be able to offer an expert opinion on. If one comes up, I would like to know whether I may answer it freely, or should report it.
Um, it is here. Other than a shit-ass response in which a Mod was called out by many, with no further response than a non-answer, I’m-better-than-you-don’t-question-it, we got nothin’. It’s about as substantive as what a hit of acid tastes like.
(Note, never said what it tastes like, just saying the response was “nothing”).
Does there have to be another thread opened in another forum for a non-condescending response? Us lesser-than-human’s don’t expect answers, but we do at least hope for the insult of a Mod we ask a question of to talk down to us.
We can’t even get that? I, for one, will renew. The cost will at least give me another year to see if Rico will stand by his decision to enter this tread another time instead of leaving it at a horseshit response before running away.
I’m not really qualified to issue a ruling on the boardwide policy concerning discussion of illegal drugs. I’m a fairly new mod, I’m not familiar with the legal issues involved, and I’m also sort of lazy.
Tell you what, though, I’ll send an email to the mod loop relaying your request for clarification on this issue. Who knows, maybe there’s still someone who hasn’t blocked my address?
Huh. So, in a thread questioning a mod decision, posted in the appropriate forum for such, we’ve managed to have completely useless participation by two mods. Rico, at least, managed to contain his fecklessness in only one post.
I’m available as an emergency outlet. Based on some recent decisions, I can’t imagine I’d do any worse.
Hell, at least I’d show up for a lambasting if (when) I fuck it up.
