Father and son work hard in the business. Father dies Son inherits business but has to pay a tax because his dad died.
Why should someone be taxed just because they died? That I do not understand.
He shouldnt. Dad should work with a lawyer and put say a third the company in his son’s name, 1/3 to wife, and dad wont owe any estate tax.

I think there’s hypocrisy on both sides. Conservatives may complain that the poor don’t deserve welfare but the liberals complain that the heirs don’t deserve inheritance.
