Ok, there’s no riddle. I just wanted an interesting title 
I really just want some general info about them.
I know little or nothing about them as it is (I only have a vague idea about the era they were used in), but somehow or other it came up in conversation and now my friends and I are curious. but…how exactly were they used? From what age did a girl have to wear it? Did all of the female ‘nobilty’ have to wear them?
And we’d really like to know how you went to the toilet if you were wearing one? I’d always thought the key to it was looked after by someone other than the wearer.
