That’s the name of a show I’d like to see. Ridicule! would be similar to John Stewart’s The Daily Show, only it would be weekly and it would be much more scathing. [url=“http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=338369”]This thread* resurrected the idea, which had been lurking in the dark recesses of my mind for a while. There should be a show that points out idiotic legislation. I’d love to see a half-hour of scathing ridicule aimed at Kansas for trying to downplay evolution in favour of Creation. Or a show that points out, in detail, the President’s lack of critical thinking ability. Or shows ridiculing public figures with idiotic or dangerous ideas regardless of whether they’re Right or Left.
John Stewart and Bill Maher do a good job, but I think it would be fun to have a scathing show that devotes a full 30 minutes to a single subject.
