RIP: Andy Grove

An icon of Silicon Valley has passed. Can’t say the guy was admirable 100% of the time, but he changed the culture at a tech Giant (Intel), and literally wrote the book on sone key business strategies. I met him a few times, and he was one of those truly larger than life figures.

He came to the US as András Gróf in the 1950s with just the shirt on his back, and ended up building one of the best known technology companies in the world.

Perhaps it’s in the Pit to allow Intel haters to vent.

Well, I hated The Core too, but it seems that you are not hating but loving the maker of the wrong one.

I’ve never done an RIP thread before. I thought they all went in the Pit.

MPSIMS?

If the latter, that’s fine with me. But there are surely some Grove haters out there. He was a bit of a “skirt chaser” as they used to be called, back in the day.

What a dumb-ass.
