It’s a waste of life and talent but hardly surprising, given his history.

Wow. I can take your average celebrity meltdown with a combination of apathy and amusement, but this one makes me really sad. He had an amazing quality that *insisted *you watch him on the screen, even in small parts. He was one of a handful of young actors that I felt a personal, private connection to–who knows why?–and would watch even the worst movie for another glimpse of him on the screen. I’m really, really sad about this.
