UPDATE: I decided I don’t like this new Mr Coffee machine. The grate you pour the water into through the top is so tight that you can only trickle the water into it. I may clip some openings in it.
It, as noted above, makes coffee that tastes like plastic, but that’s fading, so it won’t be a big deal soon.
The pot itself is designed in such a way that to get the last few tablespoons of liquid out, you have to totally upend it, then it comes rushing out and all over.
The lid of the pot comes off if you even look at it sideways. It’s always falling off. Can’t just leave it off, though. That’s what keeps the valve open while you’re brewing coffee. You just have to pop it into place AGAIN every time you move it.
Do you pour coffee before it finishes brewing? Because, if you are not in that big a hurry, someone put that there valve in there, you can yank it out.
