There are people who really impress me. Those who volunteer to participate in the armed forces do so for a variety of reasons which does not exclude nor diminish the desire or heroism to serve their fellow countrymen, but it is clear from what I’ve heard and read that Tillman gave up reams of cash, fame and time with his family, to carry on a family tradition of putting his life on the line for his country. This was no career move to gain rungs on the ladder. For me that puts him right up there with mother Teresa, Mandella, and Gandhi. I’ll never forget the name Pat Tillman.
Then I’d suggest you read some history and do something about widening that perspective of yours. What you suggest is absurd.
Pat Tillman took money from dictators, campaigned against abortion, divorce and birth control, and denied medical care to the dying?
. . . Gee, and I thought he was such a nice fella . . .
C’mon folks, I got it…Grienspace was talking about the virtue of selflessness, and instead you guys automatically tear Mother Theresa down for OBVIOUSLY different reasons…C’mon, I thought you guys were sharper than that!
