To this day, still one of the greatest football players to ever play the game. And 33 is the only jersey number officially retired by the Washington Redskins. They don’t hand out a few other numbers (9, 7, 28, 81 to name a few off the top of my head) but 33 is the only one that been retired. I’ll be at the game on Sunday, I’m sure they will do something then to commemorate his contribution to the game and the team.
