That Taylor Affair. The Enterprise is about to be repossessed for debt. Captain Holden makes a scheme to beat another riverboat to pick up President Zachary Taylor and make enough money to get out of debt. Pursued by the riverboat chartered for the President, Holden explains that the President came aboard freely, and only he or the President can put him off. Taylor agrees and they go off to breakfast.
All that is lacking is someone asking, “Will there be fruit and cream?”
I loved the Riverworld novels. The TV show was fairly good. Apparently I was one of the few people who thought so.

I know you where humorously suggesting an idea for an episode of an TV show, but Riverworld was the first thing that popped into my head after reading your post.
