On the Frontier fenders, some are just dents, some are obvious molding shaped like rivets, but some look pretty realistic. They have a “keeper” wire looking thing across them, and seem to be actually separate from the fenders.
Now, I’m not about to go prying on somebody’s new pickup with my Leatherman, so could one of you pickup fans tell me if any Nissan pickups have their fenders held on by rivets?
It really wouldn’t surprise me.
BTW; If I were to consider buying a pickup, I’d surely take a long look at the Titan. Pretty thing, indeed.
I had this link all ready to go, and I forgot it.
Oh well. You can see what I’m talking about in the pictures. The text doesn’t say a lot about the rivets, except that they aren’t on some models.
I say they are faux, but I do not have 100% proof. This site seems to support my conjecture, and a quick ebay search solidified it as well. Just my two cents!
mangeorge, they are faux. My wife drives a '01 Frontier, and loves it. I’d probably love it too, but she won’t let me use it!
Fits 4 men in it very nicely, and the bed extender is very nice. It’s a great compromise between a full size truck, and something that you can actually drive.
I figured they probably were. I just looked at one (on the road) today. They sure look real, at least the high-end ones do. Looks kinda like a bolt head, with a semi-trialgle, washer looking thingy underneath. And the fenders were black.
I’m still not brave enough to poke at it with my Leatherman. Not even your wife’s. Very cool pickup, I’ve been told.
Thanks for looking.
