After watching the “House of A Thousand Corpses” and “The Devil’s Rejects” a buddy and I agreed on something: not only do these films take place in 1977, but they actually LOOK like they were MADE in 1977! These two films looked just like the sleazy grindhouse stuff of the 70s that I remember and enjoyed during my wasted time of my misspent youth (anybody remember “Invasion of the Blood Farmers” “It’s Alive” and “The Gruesome Twosome”?) How was that done?

ETA: I would post a synopsis of the article, but it gets a bit technical and I don’t fully understand everything in there. Perhaps another poster with better knowledge of the techniques involved could better translate the cinematography-speak.
