In my opinion, at nearly an hour, it’s a bit long for casual listening, although he’s so articulate and interesting that it’s worth going over carefully enough not to miss anything. I came across it very late one night a couple of weeks ago and just let it roll while doing something else that didn’t require much attention. I think he says something about having had a strong coffee before the interview, and he’s certainly not at a loss for words. I knew he was knowledgeable about American music, but some of his comments surpassed my expectations in that regard. Sounds to me like an artist in every sense of the word and in every aspect of his life.
