While I like Mark Lindsay/Paul Revere and the Raiders, I think you can attribute only one first-rate song to him and/or the band. That’s “Arizona” and it was written by Kenny Young.
There’s no arguing over taste, but Rolling Stone magazine put “Kicks” on its list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time. Even Brian Wilson liked it.
