How many “first bands on the moon” are there?
I think someone’s lying!

What, you haven’t heard of the 1967 British Lunar Expedition?
With the Beatles moon concert?
Good. MI5 is still keeping the lid on that one quite effectively, then.
Probably just as well…
A while ago I saw a photo of a drum kit for a punk rock drummer that was hooked up to some rather massive chains to keep the drums from moving. I’d noticed plenty of sandbags before, but since I never see behind the drums, I’d never seen chains before.
I’m picturing a lunar set-up where the drummer themselves are strapped down with chains to get a real badass look!
Then there’s the classic jumping guitarists - how long until this bassist hits the ground again?
(Also; I highly recommend all artists mentioned in that article)
One thing is for sure, it’s going to be the quietest rock band ever.
I saw Kodo perform live recently, and while I’m confident they’re athletic enough to find a lot of workarounds, I bet the performance would be surreal given the physical effort many of them are putting into their drumming.
Representative sample of their work (minor warning, there is a gentleman working his ass off semi-literally hammering the drum while wearing a fundoshi and nothing else in the last section, so stop by 1:20 if it’s a concern)
