I recently found this blog post about Turbonique, a firm that sold aftermarket kits to drag racers back in the 60s. The special thing about Turbonique is it sold rocket fuel powered(!) superchargers, axles, and engines. Some buyers attached them to go-karts(!!!). Not suprisingly Turbonique dissolved due to liability and fraud suits.
I thought this thread might be about those Chrysler gas turbines they tested in the 60’s. They appeared to have rocket engines because of the huge rear air outlet. The sound was awesome.
