Oh yeah, I’m just so frightened that Romnesia will move the polls.
It’s funny, catchy, and perfectly fitting. There simply has never been a presidential candidate so lacking in core beliefs before. It’s the reason that a major newspaper in Utah(!) just came out with an endorsement of Obama.
Yeah, but Romney got the Orlando Sentinel, which is the biggest newspaper in central Florida.
Yes, that’s just as remarkable.
You are working very hard at this.
Also the Tampa Bay Times and the Denver Post. The Utah paper was a real surprise, as I just assumed they would march in lockstep with one of their own. Not only did the Tribune not endorse him, but they were fairly punishing in their reasoning:
Nice try, but the Tribune also endorsed Obama in 2008. The Orlando Sentinel endorsed Obama in 2008.
Against the Mormon McCain? Holy magical smokes!
You think Mormons will support Romney just because he’s Mormon? Especially the journalist class?
That’s just the break Obama needs to get to only minus 40 points in the Utah polls.
It won’t affect Utah, but it might affect folks elsewhere who wonder why Romney is unable to secure the endorsement of the major Utah paper. Every little bit of doubt sown about him has an effect in this close race.
Similarly, if the NAACP endorsed Romney, it would not indicate treachery, because black people share even less of a hive mind than Mormons. It would still be newsworthy.
Yeah but I fucked your mother last night.
I know, that didn’t have much to do with your response. But then again, your response didn’t have much to do with the topic.
The implication was that a paper that supported Obama in 2008 has made a shocking endorsement by endorsing him again in 2012.
Romnesia. Hilarious and true. Whoever came up with that deserves credit and Obama delivered so well.
You can tell it stung by the way Rmoney responded.
I don’t think so. SLC proper voted for Obama over McCain as well. While Utah is a reliably red state, SLC is a bit more liberal, and it’s not shocking that this paper endorsed the same guy they did in 2008. The enthusiasm it’s getting reported with is amusing though.
How did it respond?
totally fair and TRUE. go, Team Blue.
Man, Drewtwo99 and adaher if you don’t like Romnesia, you are going to hate Paulzheimers.
I already do. That one stinks. “Romnesia”, however, is a beauty.
Perhaps. Since this thread and their endorsement were both about Romney’s lack of any sort of principles, I thought I would mention it.
