Ron Reagan, Rest In Peace!

No, we were talking about “Ron Reagan, Rest in Peace”. Putz.

Insults outside the Pit? Tsk.

And um, if you RTFT I think you’ll find that it kicked off with the Berlin Wall quote.

Bill, no flaming, name-calling or personal insults in IMHO. Keep the discussion centered on ideas, not personalities.
Please don’t do this again.

Right, Otto. Wrong Bill. :wally yourself.

Okay, enough already, Snakespirit. Enough sniping, jabbing, pinching, spitting and giving each other dirty looks.
If this discussion doesn’t stay at least relatively civil I’ll lock it down.

TVeblen

It should be locked down anyway: why is this even in IMHO? Is it a poll? A list? How is it different from the other Reagan threads in MPSIMS and the Pit?

Well, here’s one person grateful to Reagan for dying . . . because my company’s leave schedule is tied to the federal gov’t, so I get a paid day off!

Thanks, Ronny (and Dubya!!

Millions of people owe their freedom today in part to Ronald Reagan. One of the keys here is not how he was perceived by less than 50 percent of America, but by how he was perceived by the Soviet Union, among others. He forced the USSR to keep spending money it didn’t have to keep up it’s facade and hastened its collapse. I will always remember him fondly.

Is stuff shut down today all across the country or just in the DC area? Because dammit, I need to go to the bank and the post office.

It’s on Friday, so you’re good to go. And the Friday holiday only affects Federal offices, so your bank should be open on Friday, but not the post office.

Reagan was a Great President. In my opinion.

At the time, I thought a president couldn’t get much worse than Reagan. Obviously, I was wrong.

I thought he did a lot of boneheaded things, but at least I always felt that he really was trying to do what was best for the country. I don’t get that impression with the current crowd.

Although I didn’t approve of a great deal of what he did as president, I was sincerely sorry that he got Alzheimer’s Disease.

That Bill W. sure gets around. I mean, I know a lot of his “friends,” but I didn’t know he posted here!

It’s “debate lite”, so to speak. There are quite a few other threads about Reagan’s death but as long as they’re limited w/in fora I’m not too worried. It happens alla time with high-interest current events.
Of course all of this is as futile as herding cats but it’s a job.

Wait a minute. I’m not getting PAID for this. Well, damn!
