RonRon the Fox has passed away

A series of YouTube videos of a pet fox I’ve been following for over a year now.

RonRon wasn’t torn to shreds in a Hunt, nor run over by a car, nor died of hunger or disease.

He left this world in a place where he was safe, happy,…and loved.

Talk about mixed feelings. In addition to the fact that foxes are wild animals and belong … well, in the wild, they generally* don’t make very good pets and keeping them as such should be discouraged.

That said, the video raised the dust and pollen count in the room something fierce.

*I specifically exclude the “foxes” being sold on Russian websites. IMHO, those animals, beautiful as they admittedly are, bear the same resemblance to a real fox as a poodle does to a wolf.

In tribute recommend the Rosebuds song “Nice Fox.”

that was cute and sad and lovely all at the same time.

Wow, I had no idea that foxes were such short-lived animals; I figured them for living as long as a similar sized dog. They can live 10-12 years in captivity, but only average 3 in the wild. 8 wasn’t a bad run for RonRon.

Oh, sweet Jesus.

Good St. Francis, you loved all of God’s creatures.
To you, they were brothers and sisters.
help us follow your example if treating
every living thing with kindness.
St. Francis, patron saint of animals,
watch over my pet and keep my
companion safe and healthy.

Amen.
Prayer to St. Francis for animals, our pets.

Foxalbiazul, the guardian of the late Ronron, has been gifted a new fox kit.

This cutie goes by the name Asriel.
