Round-the-Clock Coverage--Who's your favorite talking head?

Ahhh, finally. The laugh I needed.

I was snapping back to him during the day thinking the same thing, “OOh! He’s gonna snap! Any minute now! Awwwww. He’s settling down again. Ohh! Here we go!”.

In terms of the O.P., up until Tuesday, Peter Jennings kind of irritated me. But after watching him, and an incredible pace and smoothness, right in the middle of the chaos that is the newsroom, was remarkable.

I was amazed at how much, and how long, he was on air. The guy must have a bladder like a racehorse.

Is Aaron Brown killing you guys yet? The new CNN anchor is so jittery. It’s like he’s living on coffee (I know they are operating without sleep, but come on…). Last night, he started asking a question to a reporter. One problem, the segment was taped. I almost fell out of bed as he realized what was happening. He didn’t say what had happened but to watch HIS face as he realized that the guy was probably at home by now, it was priceless.

Christiane Amanpour by far.

Four words describe her best

Intellegent with pure class.

charles gibson, followed by peter jennings. i can handle anything, if mr. gibson tells me about (oot) it first, then have mr. jennings follow with meticulous detail. i think there was about 5 minutes of silence from mr. jennings when wtc 2 collasped. i was listening on radio and couldn’t tell what happened until a choked voice said: “the southern tower has just collasped.” then silence again.

although, mr. jennings can get a bit giddy after being awake for soooo long. you have to be very alert to catch it though.

I didn’t watch TV through the whole thing, but when I did, I thought Peter Jennings did the best job.
Most of the time, due to my work schedule, I was listening on the radio. On Tuesday, I found Howard Stern of all people had the best coverage. None of his usual BS, the show came across as honest, and you could tell they were getting choked up. They did an excellent job.
The rest of the time, I’ve listened to the local NY radio stations. Most of the people on the stations live in NY and work there. Their coverage was so emotional, yet very professional.
I guess I just couldn’t take seeing the same pictures of the crashes and building collapes.
