Ruger sp101 357 vs. SW 642 Centennial 38 special

I am the owner of a Ruger sp101 357. I like this gun but it is a bit heavy for me and I’m thinking about trading it in for a SW 642 38 special.

Essentially, it is for self-defense. I like the idea of the lighter hammerless Centennial SW 642, but I like the solid feel of the sp101, even though it’s got a bit of kick. But the sp101 is so heavy, it isn’t practical for me to carry it.

For those of you who’ve owned/fired each, I’d like to hear your opinion on the pros and cons of both guns.
