Ruins of the Library of Alexandria discovered.

I doubt it will happen, but I do so hope that they will be able to discover some sealed off shaft full of once lost texts.

Only if they tap it while they have seven cards in their hand.

Yeah, but with my luck, those “texts” were put there by the Black Pharoh; reading them will bring ruin to mankind.

Alexandria is a “sinking” city. There’s just too much moisture all over the older ruins for anything like scrolls to have survived.

There was a king in the fertile crescent who envied the LoA and had a lot of its texts copied for his library. I keep hoping that someday his library will be discovered.

Petra also looked hopeful for a site that contain a lot of well preserved texts. But so far the best that have been found are charred scrolls under a collapsed church wall. Not a whole lot that can be recovered.

For recovered scrolls, you need a very dry place that hasn’t had a lot of humans churning stuff up for the last couple thousand years.

There has been a private library found at Pompeii. Small, mostly duplicates of known texts so far though.

Don’t worry, Leaper. I got it!

For those who don’t know what we’re talking about, punch the grin off my face.

Anyhoo…

Oh Leaper, you brought back many memories.
