Rules for declaring Jihad

Anyone who declares a jihad (other than in self-defence), ESPECIALLY against Jews and/or Christians, is making a political (not a religious) statement. This statement is either “I am above the Qu’ran and don’t need to follow its precepts”, or “I am an illiterate moron who has never read the Qu’ran but believe I can futher my narrow political ambition by stirring the religious fervour of other illiterate morons who also have never read the Qu’ran”.

The Islamic faith acknowledges 3 sacred writings, in order:
(1) The Qu’ran
(2) The Bible
(3) The Talmud.
The Prophet wrote “deal gently with the people of the books”, i.e. the other books - Bible and Talmud. These people are Christians and Jews. By declaring jihad against these, the declarer flagrantly disobeys Mohammed. (I am unsure of which Surah this is written in, but I am utterly certain it is there - and can find out if anyone is interested).

And the Staff Report being discussed is What are the rules for declaring a jihad?

chunda21, would you kindly email those passages to the Taliban and Bin Laden?
