You’re cute!
The hair is cute!
Big news of the day…The Snakes finally won a game! They lost to Pee Dee last night (4-5 in overtime) then got on the bus and rode to Jacksonville, where they put a 5-0 whuppin’ on the Barracudas. (I think I spelled that wrong. sorry) We have a home game on the 19th and 20th, so I’m excited. Sounded like a great game, but it seems their fans didn’t think so. One of them poured a beer on our coach as the last buzzer sounded.
Worked on the rock wall today - it’s going pretty slow because I have to let one row set up before I can put up the next one. It will be done sooner or later.
The lady I cat-sit for has already booked me for 5 days in December, in addition to the 3 days starting tomorrow. If she keeps this up, I’ll be able to buy a new game-worn jersey at the end of the season! As if I really need another one…
Hi. Been busy and stuff. Went to see Chicken Little on Friday, it was cute. Went to Applebee’s afterward and had a chicken sandwich and it seemed a little wrong to eat a chicken sandwich after watching Chicken Little. But I ate it anyway.
That’s all for now, I’m having trouble typing around the kitten on the keyboard.
You already know I think you’re a cutie. If I repeat it all the time, you’ll get a big head.
I think I know , or that is, knew you!
The hair is, well, red… I’m old.
Well, I already do, but if you keep telling me that, I might get a big ego.
I didn’t necessarily mean that everyone had to compliment my (rapidly thinning) hair, just that no one was responding in any way to what I had said.
Lighting-bolt-beard-man never called me back. I’m too shy to invite him over to my room for sex, and it appears that he is too. ::sigh::
Tonoc=tonight. Noc=night. Think nocturnal.
It’s a charting abbreviation that I find easier and quicker to type.
You’re not dense, and it’s not an MMP thing (ooh-if it became one, then I will have arrived, ya know what I mean?).
Party is over–and it was ok. My legs and feet are in sorry shape today, though. I was dreading the music (I loathe rap and hiphop), but it was good. The DJ my husband hired was fantastic. About 45-50 kids showed up and they danced the entire time (oh, to have that energy again). Nosh and nibblers went over well–no one was found having sex or doing drugs, so I count that as a success as well…
4 girls did show up reeking of weed, but all I felt was a twinge of jealousy (ah, my misspent youth).
Christ, I’m tired today!
Liked your pics, donkeybear. Really, we weren’t all ignoring you. Well, I wasn’t.
Thanks for asking the “tonoc” question, Feydeau; I’d been meaning to ask where that came from.
I finally borrowed Before Sunset from the library the other day. It’s the sequel to Before Sunrise and is actually even better, somehow. It’s odd because it’s basically just a long conversation as this couple wanders through Paris, but it instantly became one of my favorite movies ever. So I’ve watched it about 4 times since Thursday - there are lots of details to catch. I have to buy it now. (I was going to put it on my Christmas list, but didn’t want to wait that long.) Yes, I’m compulsive. Why do you ask?
But compulsiveness hasn’t kept me from getting a few things done. Got the front yard raked and mowed yesterday, then came inside to do a few things.
Of course, I came home from church today and found that the neighbor’s tree decided to drop about 1/2 its leaves last night (I guess it knew I’d just raked). So I’ll be out there again this afternoon. At least I don’t have to mow that part. Might even rake and mow in back. I’m trying to take it slowly so that I can keep allergies in check.
I’m about 7 pounds over my ideal weight (which I got back to last year) and decided yesterday that it had to stop before I got back to the full 25 pounds over. So I dug up my food diary document and started writing down exactly what I’m eating (including calories and fat proportions) and focusing on making sure I’m eating the optimal number of fruits and veggies. I’ve been slowly getting lazy again (not that it’s hard) and my number of servings has been hovering closer to 3 than 7. So, I’m back to being more disciplined. Isn’t my life fascinating?
Off to compose a nutritionally optimal shopping list and consider other productive activities…

I feel so bad now because I made my sister back home cry by helping her with her math homework. How does that work? Got me. I know she knows that I’m pissed off at her for looking up the answers in the back of the book. (she gave me the 1 even problem she had to walk her through, and then said “Thanks, I’ll go look the rest up in the back of the book!”)
::sigh:: Hurry up and call me back, lightning-bolt-beard-man.
I was walking through the kitchen last night, faster than I should have been walking (I was very angry at someone, not that that’s an excuse) and I stubbed my small right toe into a case of water bottles. I think it’s broken. And if it isn’t broken, it hurts like I think a broken toe would. (I’ve never broken a bone prior to this.)
Does it bend?
I also walked into the vacuum cleaner yesterday; was looking over my shoulder at something. Stubbed my toe pretty bad, and it hurt all night. ow.
Nice pics donkeybear though I think you look better blonde. What? you asked!
Feydeau ouch! Mika already asked about the bendy thing so I don’t have too. If you can bend it it ain’t broken. If it’s broken, all you can do is tape two toes together until it heals. As a bonus you get to walk real funny for a while.
Ouch to Mika too!
I have a CLEAN GARAGE!! Envy me! When we were coming back from breakfast, I asked FCD if we could tidy it up a bit, since too much stuff has been accumulating. Well, 4+ hours later, it is beeyooteeful out there! Stuff is put away or thrown away. Floor was swept. Both cars plus the motorcycle are in there, and there’s almost space for one more car!
And to think, I wasn’t planning to do anything today!
Now I need to figure out what to do for dinner. My daughter called for my recipe for corned beef and cabbage. Now I want corned beef and cabbage. I have the cabbage…
I envy you, FCM. I don’t even have a garage, but if I did, I would imagine that it would be messy.
I’ve given up on LBBM for today, since I have to go to work in a short while.
Everyone post lots of stuff! We’re almost up to 400 replies, which probably isn’t a record for the MMP, but it’s a big number, and that would excite me.
We’ve owned 8 houses - all but 1 had a garage. And all but this one were disaster areas. The only reason we can actually fit our cars in this garage is that we have a full basement (over 1600 sq ft), two sheds, and an attic. Not that we’re pack rats - we just have lots of interests that involve lots of stuff.
I got nuttin’ to post about cause I’m saving weekend stuff for tomorrow. I’m just posting to help get the count up so donkeybear can see a 400 post MMP and get all excited.
I’m posting to get up to the 400 mark, too - who doesn’t want to see **donkeybear **excited? But also, it’s Sunday night, and I don’t wanna go to work tomorrow! Who does, right? I’m re-reading The Firm and wish I could go to the Cayman Islands for a week. Bloody unfair!
Ok, I’ll do my share to get it up to 400.
Went to catsit - and Felicia (aka The Cat Who Hates Me) let me pet for a few seconds!! Zac (the other cat) talked the entire time I was there - and his momma has only been gone for three and a half hours! Attention-seeking beast!
I really need to be washing walls to get them ready to paint, but I don’t feel like it.
Unless someone else is assiduously working on a post, this should be 400. Haven’t had such a long MMP in ages.
Sunday involved more purchases. Found exciting fleece sheets at Kohls in the PERFECT color for my living room. No, I don’t sleep there, I have futon furniture and they are currently in flannel. Comfy and washable. This takes that to a whole new level, I hope. They were ultra cheap (less than $50 for 2 sets, one full and one twin) after all the sales and discounts, so I figure they’re worth the risk. I was getting tired of the flannel sheets.
In other excitement, I bought pants. 1 pair jeans, 3 pair corduroys, 1 pair jeans, 2 dressyish for work. Didn’t try any of them on, so some are bound to go back.
And then there was Wild Oats, where there was construction in the parking lot, strategically placed in front of the entrance. There must have been something wrong because there were pipes laying about in the construction area and the store had big signs by the road telling people they were open.
Tales from my exciting Sunday…
