Run Line Performance

On this page: Indians vs. Mariners - MLB Game Summary - September 22, 2017 | ESPN

The Indians-Mariners game is previewed. Near the bottom of the page There is something called “Run Line Performance” that reads

Cleveland Indians

Overall away Rec Favorite
96-57 77-76 66-72

Seattle Mariners

Overall home Rec Underdog
74-79 66-87 38-38

What do teh last two sets of numbers mean? Any gusses

The numbers refer to the won-loss records against the run line (baseball’s version of the point spread).

For Cleveland, the numbers refer to:
96-57 in all games
77-76 in away games, like they are in this game
66-72 when they are the run line favorite, like they are in this game

For Seattle, the numbers refer to:
74-79 in all games
66-87 in home games, like they are in this game
38-38 when they are the run line underdog, like they are in this game

I thought that too, but how is the number of losses in “away games” more than the total number of losses period?

edited to add: Nevermind, i just realized how to read it. Thanks for the explanation!
