If I were running away then I’d head for Tahiti. I don’t really know anything about it, it might be a hellhole in modern times, but my fantasy image of it is incredible.
Realistically, in the US, there’s no place to hide. Stay away from attractive locales where your family would be tempted to visit if they knew where you were. On that basis I’d choose Pittsburgh.
