Actually I am giving you a fact. Putin changed his position after Obama made the threat to bomb targets in Syria. That is a fact. There is a correlation there that you cannot deny. As to the amount of fear Putin had… he could have had none. But Putin certainly could know that once even a limited military engagement gets started it could lead to other things … serious for the regime and his ally. No need to take the chance if Kerry’s suggestion was true… Strikes could be avoided if…
Lavrov picked up the phone so fast to say yes it is obvious that Kerry’s words prompted Putin to act.
Putin also has been making commercial and trade deals with Israel. Netanyahu was concerned very much about the CW being dispersed among Israelis enemies during the civil war.
Putin could have gotten a nudge from that too. Netanyahu supported Obama doing the stikes… That could have bothered Putin a bit too.
I am not saying the threat was the only factor, I’m saying it was a major contributing factor for Putin to change position. Its that fact that he changed his position that matters. It is a more absurd to suggest the threat of strikes had nothing to do with it. That makes absolutely no sense at all.
If that’s a fact then where are the CW’s? Doesn’t look like he’s invested much effort into it. He did put some effort into an agreement that no action be taken if things don’t go as planned. Which Obama signed.
Nothing has changed and Assad is busy doing what Assad does best. With Putin’s blessing and Obama’s signature.
Remember that conversation regarding the safety of CW’s away from their military locations and the possibility of the convoys being attacked? They’ve been attacked. Another event predicted ahead of time.
One third of CW arsenal has been transferred or destroyed - four months remain to complete the rest of the transfer or destruction ‘safely’ as safe as possible in a war zone and on schedule.
Wrong - the report ckearly says: (no need to rephrase it)
Syria says two attempted attacks on chemical weapons convoys: U.N.

They have set a goal of about six months to complete the elimination of CW from a war zone. Two months of time has passed. That is one third of the time since ships were prepared to take it. That have moved or destroyed one third of the stockpile in five convoys that must take about a day or two to complete a cycle. Five shipments down ten to go - four months to do it. Do the math.
When did Obama draw a red line to stop the war? What are you telling me to understand? I understand the truth about what is going on in Syria. I understand removing 1300 Tons of CW from a war zone makes an effort to remove Assad from command and control of such deadly weapons removes one hard issue in any ongoing efforts to end the civil war. It surely does not make finding an end to the crisis more difficult. And it is absurd to suggest it will have no impact.
I see the birth of a CT argument forming against the OPCW, UNSC, Russia, US and Syria and all other nations supporting this effort, to lie to us about how much CW has been destroyed and removed. Is that where you are going with your (…because…?)
Apparently you don’t understand the contents in the link you posted:
It is military activities at the fixed sites that have caused much of the delays. The ‘in country destruction’ that you think is safer.
You should realize how bad posting a link that shows how wrong your argument is should cause you to drop it. Creating a CT does however makes more sense to you now. The OPCW must be lying to help Obama - the CW are not really being removed - is that where this is going?
Weren’t you saying the fixed sites were easier to defend so it was stupid to move the CW for destruction.
Do you know the difference between an attack and an attempted attack?
Magiver predicted the civil war in Syria. Wow! How many pages ago was that!
