Russian Scientists in Shoe Commercial

Jermaine O’Neal is freeze-framed, mid-dunk, about 8 feet in the air.
In wander two middle-aged gentlemen, arguing.

Narrative subtitles tell us that it’s two Russian scientist arguing about whether he can jump so high because he’s, er, whoever he is… OR if he can jump so high because his shoes are made by children in Malaysia and have a little swoosh on them.

Assuming the “Russian scientists” are actually speaking Russian… anyone have translation?

I’ve seen the commercial once or twice. My knowledge of Russian nowadays isn’t what it once was (I haven’t had to use it in some years), but it does sound like Russian to me.

From what I could pick out, they are indeed speaking what the subtitles show. Within reason, of course; when translating, direct translations are often difficult to achieve. But it seems pretty close to the subtitles.
