Russians for Trump or Nuclear War? What the Hell?

Russian blowhard says dumb shit

What the fuck’s going on? Is there some kind of super conjunction of the planets in the Idiotsphere or something?

Seriously, I can remember when right wing doofuses would claim that voting for McGovern or someone was going to hand us over to the Russkys, but now the Russians seem to be making that claim themselves. Or at least this Zhirinovsky twat is.

At least the article says that most Russians consider this guy to be a clown, but the way Trump is polling, who knows what could happen.

I give up. I just want the whole thing to be over at this point.

Then Nuclear War.
Better everything mumbling in Cyrillic be melted down to the rubber on their shoes than bend over for this shit and this Trump…

Heh. Mumbling in Cyrillic. Is that like speaking in cursive?

The Soviets were (at least in theory) left wing communists. The current government is (at least in theory) a right wing oligarchy. Can’t see the difference? Well that’s your problem. One clear difference is the role of the church. Another, at least in theory, is that certain private businesses are permitted.

Russians saying that an U.S. leader or opponent “wants nuclear war with Russia” is a staple of Russian propaganda going back decades. Nothing new or surprising here.

Maybe its more like writing in cursive on a piece of paper “Trump has Lost this election, and there’s not a damned thing you can do about it”, folding it into a paper airplane, and throwing it over at… oh I dunno… another poster…?

…its gotta be easier than Pulling Teeth…

The day Mrs. Clinton wins is the day the next election cycle begins. That’s how the game is played now.

Yep, the Alt-right seems to be trying to claim Clinton is the one that would get us into a dangerous war despite the absurd things Trump has said about NATO, Nuclear weapons, his uncontrollable temper and his total lack of diplomatic insight.

And Clinton is the one thats going to cause a catastrophic war? yeah right…

Clinton has also equated Russia’s leadership to the Nazis, has advocated for a no-fly zone in Syria (which might involve shooting down Russian planes) and for a more active U.S. role in the Ukraine, which would almost certainly be seen by Russians (if not by the Putin government) as a serious existential threat, and my guess is she’s also widely hated in Russia because of their close ties with the unpopular Yeltsin administration. And more importantly she’s both a more honest person and a more serious political thinker than Trump, so one ought to take what she says more seriously. I think there’s a good case to be made that on Russia specifically she’s a more dangerous leader than Trump. Which doesn’t make either of them a good choice for president, and I won’t be voting for either one.

I also don’t see how taking a weak line on NATO makes a war with Russia more likely. Almost by definition it makes a war less likely, because it means we wouldn’t intervene if Russia became involved in, e.g., Estonia, or for that matter anywhere else in the old Warsaw Pact.

Zhirinovsky of course isn’t any kind of official role in the Russian government, and his party only got something like 15% of support in the last election (and actually lost seats in spite of gaining vote share). They are disproportionately popular among young people though, which probably means they’re likely to become more influential in the future.

Russia actually supports Clinton and Putin is politically savvy enough to realize that Russian support is the kiss of death for an American candidate. (The Americans, they are such a simple people.) So he is leaving subtle clues that he is working for Trump where the American media will discover them and loudly broadcast them while patting themselves on the back for making the discovery.

Having a Russian blowhard, from whom he can distance himself and deny any connection, endorse Trump is just a way of getting the word out to the [del]simpletons[/del] low-information voters who have not yet gotten the message.
