Never have I, and never will I, portrayed myself as anything other than what I am. While I know that I am smarter, more well-read, and better educated than you, I don’t presume for a minute to be the bearer of all knowledge, and know when I don’t know something and ask. I also defer to those I believe know more than I do, and attempt to learn from them, even if it’s just a little thing like common human courtesy. A lesson you can’t seem to learn in any forum.

You must have gone through the same education system that Gomiboy did. The cite that I linked is not my own cite. It is a cite that I used to counter andros’ claim that media bosses preferred Bush over Kerry. I don’t know for sure whether they do or not, that was the only cite I could find. But, neither could I find a cite that confirmed andros’ proclaimation, and neither has andros provided a link that confirms his/her statement.

Yes, conservatives did attempt to make Clinton’s actual draft-dodging an issue. However, liberals claimed that Clinton’s draft-dodging was inconsequential to his Presidential aspirations. The media’s presentation of Clinton’s draft-dodging was kept to a CYA minimum.
Now, to the converse.
Liberals compared Bush’s service in the Guard to draft-dodging. (as though dodging the draft really was a liberal concern. Hell-fire, it was a fuckin’ masquerade.) Their media allies trumpeted the liberal accusations against Bush, whereas, the media whispered the details of Clinton’s draft-dodging.
Here’s the deal… Bush did serve, Clinton left the country to avoid the draft and the keeping of a promise to join the University of Arkansas ROTC, after he got Senator William Fulbright to pull strings for him.
Do you get it now?

I would say that my school, in Central Montana, was not exactly overrun with liberals judging by the number of gunracks and cowboy boots in the student body.
Of course, most of my liberalism came from interacting with the rest of the world. People like you, who I am sure have never traveled outside the US except in the safety of a group, would never have that.
