This should be interesting. He will probably announce how the US privately winked at his use of WMD against civilians, or the US’s support for Kurdish terrorists, as well as alot of other stuff i dont even know about.
There are also alot of conspiracy theories, things like the US encouraging Kuwait to overproduce oil and bankrupt Iraq (this was a major factor in Iraq’s decision to invade Kuwait), or the CIA’s role in bringing the Ba’ath party to power in 1968 because the old military regime was leaning towards the USSR.
should be fun to watch the whole thing and find out what the US has been doing the last 35 years in Iraq. Or at least is suspected of doing. the middle east is filled with half true conspiracy theories so theres no telling how much of Saddam’s info is true and how much is just crap.
“theres no telling how much of Saddam’s info is true and how much is just crap.”
Yes there is. It will all be self-serving crap.
im talking about the conspiracy theories. Some of his info will be true and some will be conspiracy theories. it will be hard to seperate the 2 as there will be virtually no witnesses to anything, true or not.
I agree with BOTH of you. I’m quite sure Saddam won’t say a damn thing that doesn’t serve his purposes, but I’m also sure that there’s plenty of stuff that DOES serve his purposes that will make every US president since Carter look like Adolf Hitler…
Is it time for the obligatory reference to the photo of Donald Rumsfeld shaking Saddam’s hand? Is it? Huh? Do I get to do it first?
The source said the interrogators said Saddam said, huh? And just how the hell is he going to spill the beans when he can’t even give interviews or even talk to anyone who isn’t interrogating him? This looks pretty BS-ish to me.
