Sallah is Gimli?!

I think someone might be forgiven if they didn’t know he was V.

Rhys-Davies was also the narrator in Quest for Glory IV, which was pleasant surprise at the time. And the Professor in “Sliders.”

And “Macbeth” in Gargoyles

This is the measure of great special effects. When you ask people how they liked the effects in the Lord of the Rings movies, most folks will tell you what they thought of the Balrog, or the Eye of Sauron, or the Ringwraiths. Nobody ever notices that there were special effects at work in almost every scene of the movie.

Sit down, there’s something I have to tell you about Santa Claus…

No, it’s true. He used his mutant powers to fake the magic.

No, he’s a cross-dresser who does FABULOUS cabaret shows.

I’m shocked that you didn’t recognize him as the professor from Sliders.

I put on my robe and wizard hat (old and somewhat NSFW.)

No, but he is a fairy.

See, that’s why I’d take the hat off. If he’d have done that, all would’ve been fine

If we’re going back to the original Raiders of the Lost Ark I was more suprised to find out “Throw me the idol, I throw you the whip” Sapito later became Spiderman 2’s Doc Ock.

I can’t breathe.

That’s how I recognized him as well. But, the thing is, I still assumed he was actually short, and that I’d just never noticed on Sliders. Not little person short, but the 5’7" quoted for Monaghan would make sense.

Heck, even the old thread linked here said the actors were short. Six foot one is not short.

Never even heard of it until now.

Also, one of the crew members of Katenga’s steamer ship The Bantu Wind (the guy who holds his fellow crew back from the Nazis) is none other than Chocolate Mousse from Top Secret!

It’s amazing how they used CGI in the Indiana Jones films to make a dwarf look like he was really a six-footer.

Are you referring to Ford? How tall is he? (Wikipedia and IMDB don’t mention his height.)

They just used the technology developed for Tom Cruise movies.

And Captain Picard is played by Professor Xavier!

And thus we have a Frenchman with a British accent as well as a Connecticut Schoolmaster with a British accent… what’s next? Will Jean-Luc (Geez! Would it have been so hard to just make him a Brit in Star Trek?) play Colonel Klink with a British accent?

AHA! I’ve got it-- when he was offered the Picard role, he had a secret acting seminar with Sean Connery: “Ah’ve played Irish, Amurican, hell, ah played a Spaniard with this Scots accent in Highlander! An ah steel go’ PAID, laddie!

SO, ween they tell yuh to doo the french accent, yuh seh wha ah deed: "Yoor looky ah’m IN this piece o’ SHITE et all!"
