On Nov 24, people in the top 100 markets in the US should be able to switch cell phone providers and keep their numbers.
So, how many of you are planning on changing? I know I am, but I’ll have to see how the service bidding war goes. Expect prices to drop dramatically.
Expect deceptive/more deceptive billing plans to come out.
Temporary incentives that reset after time, or loss of privelages after late payment, over use of minutes, etc, etc. Penalties that can’t be deciphered…it will be a hoot.
They are going to model themselves after the credit card industry and create an environment so confusing it will quickly lead to the number one complaint at places like the FTC. There might be competition. but it’ll be so hard to compare two cell vendors that you might be intimidated into staying put!
