Anyone who reads mysteries knows of Robert Parker and his series character named Spencer. For a while, there was a mystery writer named Ross Spenser. This caused a little confusion in the book store I worked in because customers would ask for the new “Spencer” and we weren’t sure whether they were talking about the series character or the author.
