sample poll - what's your favourite colour - practice your voting skills here!

It seems that if you click on the View Results link (next to the vote button), the “total votes” reflects the number of votes. After you’ve voted, the “total votes” in the graph at the top of this thread reflects the number of voters.

Where’s the puce?

Seriously, this is interesting.

An interesting note. I’m a non-cookie user, and when I went to vote, it asked me to log in. I guess it must make you sign in so it can do the “only vote once” thing by registered user.

Given the confusion about the multiple choice nature of the poll… when we do the smiley vote, can you make sure that there’s some sort of instructions above the poll? I didn’t notice it was multiple choice until I’d already clicked ‘submit’. But then again, I’m just a half-awake button-clickin’ fool.
[sub]blue. no gree–yaaaaaahhhhh!!! (c’mon, someone had to say it)[/sub]

Oh, duh. Even after all the talk the last couple weeks about voting methods for the smiley poll, it didn’t occur to me that this was anything but a one-choice-per-vote style of poll.

The entire rainbow sucks and it looks like 13.13% of people agree with me. Now if we could only do something about the Blue people . . .

The best I could do was to include the words READ INSTRUCTIONS FIRST above the voting boxes.

Brown! Brown! Brown!
(Everything else is just so…happy)

In the name of our queen, I demand orange.

Blue all the way, baby…

Gotta lean towards Rec on this one…

Er, uhh, RED. Sorry.

Damn I forgot what color I voted for.

Octarine

Interesting… When I tried the poll, it said that it didn’t work, but I could hit the link they gave me to try my action again. When I tried the link, it came back and said that I had already voted, but my choices appear to have taken nonetheless. In other words, if it spits out an error message, don’t worry. As usual, trust the CGI.

For the record, Noodles, I agree with your choice to put grey on the list. Gray is just boring, but grey is mysterious :).
